Networking Strategies for Career (And Life!)

0
0
Pepperdine University West LA campus
6100 Center Dr.
Los Angeles, CA 90045
Saturday, May 21, 2016, 10am – 12pm

What’s the most sincere approach to networking for success in professional and personal life?

What’s the most effective process for targeting employers for internships and full-time jobs?

How do you go about identifying the ideal career opportunity and employer for yourself?

Do you wonder what does it take to run a successful job search campaign?

If you resonate with the above prompts, this interactive and informative workshop will provide an insightful perspective on networking, and proven and practical strategies on recruiting especially for competitive jobs such as consulting, banking, strategy, and product management.

The workshop requires no specific industry knowledge, and draws upon the speaker’s experience of interviewing over two dozen CEOs and executives, as part of the Vistage International program, on topics such as career success, networking, relationships, and life. Founded in 1957, Vistage International is a peer-to-peer membership organization for CEOs that has more than 20,000 CEO members in 16 countries. The speaker used the insight gained from these executives to land jobs in strategy consulting, and later, investment management, after graduating from the business school.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Vibhu Sinha worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Advisory in the strategy consulting capacity and provided product and industry assessment, branding, and mergers and acquisition (M&A) diligence services to global real-estate, premier private equity and hedge fund managers. Prior to PwC Advisory, Vibhu worked as Vice President at Trust Company of the West (TCW), a global $100+ billion asset manager. He began his career in financial services in 2004 as an Analyst at New Century, a $50 billion asset manager, prior to joining TCW. Currently, he works at Ares Management, an $85 billion international hedge fund. Vibhu completed his MBA with Honors from UCLA Anderson, where he was an honorary member of Vistage International, a CEO-mentorship organization. Vibhu is also the recipient of the Presidential Award for Volunteer Service from The White House.
