Encino, CA 91436
Saturday, July 15, 2017, 10am – 12pm

Change management is a systematic approach to dealing with change both from the perspective of an organization and the individual. For an organization, change management means defining and implementing procedures and/or technologies to deal with changes in the business environment and to profit from changing opportunities. Organizations and the individuals in them inevitably encounter changing conditions that they are powerless to control.

Come hear from a panel of change management specialists regarding the work that they do, the realities of creating change or developing an organization, the common barriers or difficulties and how to overcome them, and their perspectives as an outside consultant attempting to create change in organizations as opposed to internally.

Saturday, July 29, 2017, 10am – 12pm

In this interactive session, Stacey Girdner will share about organizational change, the change process, and how you as an HR leader can help your workforce so they don’t take a dive but instead thrive amidst the chaos of an ever-changing business environment.

Key takeaways:
  • What happens to employees when the demand for change gets scary?
  • How HR can coach its organization’s managers so they can ease the stress of change for themselves and their direct reports.
  • How to build your resilience amidst others who are running around with their hair on fire or burying themselves under their desks.
As a result of this interactive presentation, participants will have a better understanding of:
  • the definition of organizational change
  • the emotional cycle experienced by those leading the change,
  • the emotional response by those on whom change is being imposed, and
  • what HR can do to ease the pain of change.

Speaker: Baily Hancock is a woman on a mission to help people to find happiness in their careers by figuring out their best next move. She's done everything from running seminars in Singapore at AACSB, to teaching 8-year-olds about profit and loss statements at Bizainy, to holding actors accountable for their professional goals at her own company, GSD Gal. She learned to do trapeze for a "Baily's Big Adventure" webisode, ran a promotional campaign for Warner Brothers that helped people eat and workout like Tarzan at OMD, and traveled the country collaborating with new friends and creating impactful partnerships at General Assembly. At some point during all of that, she picked up an MBA with a specialization in Entrepreneurship and Management, and coined herself the “Startup Huntress” for her ability to sniff out the next up-and-coming companies in tech and beyond. She teaches workshops in Los Angeles and is currently developing a podcast and writing a book called the “Career Experiment”.
