Executive Leadership for Women: Leading with Values

The Center for Women in Leadership is pleased to welcome Martha Saucedo to our West LA campus for an informative session on leadership in a male dominated context.

Martha Saucedo is the Executive Vice President, External Affairs at AEG. Martha Saucedo, a highly-experienced public affairs and government relations specialist with expertise in developing and implementing political, communications and community engagement strategies. Martha is responsible for overseeing AEG’s public and community affairs policies, charitable involvement, outreach and development programs. She is Chair of the Central City Association Board of Directors, serves on the Boards of Inner City Arts, the Expo Center in South Los Angeles as well as the California Hospital Medical Center Community Advisory Board.

She has been honored as a CCA “Mover and Shaker”, named a CORO “Community Builder” and chosen by the Sports Business Journal in 2013 as one of the 40 most influential sports executives under the age of 40. Martha Saucedo was honored by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) in 2017 where she was described as someone who takes her values and applies them at the highest levels of public life. In accepting the award, Saucedo talked about how the values she was raised with reflect the work of the ADL, which seeks justice and fair treatment for all. She also noted ADL’s important role in speaking out against bigotry, discrimination and injustice. A Southern California native, Ms. Saucedo attended UCLA where she earned her degree in Political Science.

Known for her demonstrated ability to influence positive change in the community, Martha Saucedo will share her unique insights from a career journey of success.

Pepperdine Center for Women in Leadership (CWL) was formed in 2015 in order to educate, empower, and strengthen the leadership capacity of women. The Center for Women in Leadership aims to build confidence and instill the strongest sense of competency and readiness for the challenges and rewards of leadership.
