Speaker: Miryan Nogueira is a principal at Astra Business Consulting, Inc, specializing in start-ups, small and mid-sized businesses, supporting entrepreneurs and companies across many different industries, crafting solutions related to strategy, organization, human resources, technology, turnaround and transformation., Ms. Nogueira was the VP, Strategic Planning and Legal Management at Cels Enterprises, Inc. for 14 years, where she was responsible for mapping existing processes and improving procedures in various departments, researching potential business opportunities and resolving challenges and conflicts related to trademarks, patents, contracts, labor disputes, brand licensing, international distribution agreements, and leases., Starting in 1991, Ms. Nogueira was a Business Partner at International Coffee and Tea for over 11 years. Her responsibilities included initiating partnership with start-up company, increasing revenues of operation and net profitability by evaluating costs, improving inventory turnover, effective training and instituting procedures and preventive maintenance schedules., Ms. Nogueira was a General Manager, Operations at US Minerals for about three years, responsible for forming a new distribution division, mediating initial contacts with bankers and customs brokers, creating marketing materials and related customers product feedback to manufacturers overseas, hiring sales personnel, and organizing the company's operations. Previously, she worked for its related company, Elfusa, in Brazil, as its IT manager, responsible for the implementation of a comprehensive computer system (ERP)., Ms. Nogueira received her Law Degree from Brazil, where she is fully licensed as an attorney. In addition, she obtained a Master of Business Administration degree from Pepperdine University and a Master in Law from Southwestern Law School, both in California, USA.
