Often storytelling is associated with using beautiful words, and creating elegant and flowery sentences. And people who don’t develop such dexterity in language often assume that they don’t have the skills to master the “art” of storytelling. What if storytelling was a “science” more than an “art”? What if the “formula” for storytelling could be mastered so that it could be applied to pitching ideas from an entrepreneurial or a managerial standpoint? This interactive and informative workshop will provide an insightful perspective on storytelling and pitching. What makes a good story? What makes a good pitch? What are the questions that an entrepreneur must answer when pitching to an investor? How one must go about creating simple and compelling messages that would resonate with the audience? Speaker: Vibhu Sinha worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers/Strategy& Advisory in the strategy consulting capacity and provided product and industry assessment, branding, and mergers and acquisition diligence services to global real-estate, premier private equity and hedge fund managers. Prior to his stint in strategy consulting, Vibhu worked as Vice President at Trust Company of the West (TCW), a global $100+ billion asset manager. He began his career in financial services in 2004 as an Analyst at New Century, a $50 billion asset manager, prior to joining TCW. Vibhu completed his MBA with Honors from UCLA Anderson, where he was an honorary member of Vistage International, a CEO-mentorship organization. He has also authored an investment research paper on Hungarian Debt Crisis, in collaboration with the Hungarian Central Bank in Budapest. He is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) credential holder and recipient of the Presidential Award for Volunteer Service from The White House.
