Coffee with Jim: A Conversation with Mike Richards
Online • Friday, June 11, 2021 • 11:30 AM - 12:15 PM PT

Join alumni, parents, and friends as we share in a virtual conversation between Pepperdine president Jim Gash (JD '93) and three-time Daytime Emmy Award® winner and 17-time nominee Mike Richards ('97). Throughout his extensive career in TV, Richards has produced a wide range of programs including talk shows, dating shows, celebrity shows, reality shows, clips shows, game shows and cable news. Richards spent more than 10 years as Executive Producer of “The Price is Right” and “Let’s Make a Deal,” before taking the reins at two of the most successful game shows of all time: Wheel of Fortune and JEOPARDY!.

During his time at Pepperdine, Richards wrote, produced and hosted a weekly late night comedy talk show called “The Randumb Show,” which won multiple college broadcasting awards. Thanks to his work at the Pepperdine TV station, Richards then hosted multiple pilots and started work in production. He hosted the WB's “High School Reunion,” and later was the host of the reality phenomenon “Beauty and the Geek” for the CW. Mike also worked for television legend Dick Clark as his Vice President of Development and Current Programs, producing several primetime and award shows, and was a correspondent on “The American Music Awards” and “Primetime New Year's Rockin’ Eve.”

Register today to join the conversation among two great Pepperdine alumni leaders, and don't forget to grab a cup of coffee!
