Classroom 333, WLA Campus
Tuesday, September 17, 2024, 5:30 – 7pm
Current (and Future!) Members, we invite you to attend our club's very first meeting to meet one another, discuss some upcoming events and also discuss how you can get involved! We have a lot of fun and impactful activities planned for this term and are excited to share with you!
Additionally, September 17th is Mid-Autumn Festival (Zhongqiu Jie (中秋节) in Chinese), also called the Moon Festival. As the second most important festival in China after Chinese New Year, Mid-Autumn is an official public holiday. People living in Mainland China will enjoy 1-day public holiday. In China, Mid-Autumn Festival is a reunion time for families, a little like Thanksgiving. Chinese people celebrate it by gathering for dinners, worshiping the moon, lighting paper lanterns, and eating mooncakes (which we're excited to share with you for those who attend in-person at the WLA campus!).
We hope that you can make arrangements to attend this first meeting and get-together in-person. But, if you're unable to, we hope at the very least you will attend via Zoom!
