The Brenden Mann Israel Internship Program with the Glazer Institute for Jewish Studies at Pepperdine University began three years ago as an opportunity for students from each of Pepperdine’s graduate schools to live and work in Israel (at an extremely subsidized rate), interning in their chosen fields. Over the course of the summer, students have the opportunity to pursue career objectives through competitive internships in every field from environmental advocacy to micro-finance to education. In addition, students often explore much of Israel and travel to destinations throughout the region, including Petra, Cairo, and Istanbul. We hope this program becomes an opportunity to be more than a purely intellectual exercise, fostering at the same time an exchange of ideas and stories with those in the workplaces and communities around Israel.
