Step Forward Day is celebrating 25 years of uniting the Pepperdine community for an international day of community service. Step Forward Day is a simple yet profound way for Waves to make a difference and live out the mission of Pepperdine. Join hundreds of alumni and students across the globe by serving on September 7, 2013.
The Pepperdine Hispanic Alumni Council (PHAC) and Los Angeles Waves will be participating in Step Forward Day by volunteering at the Heart of Los Angeles (HOLA). HOLA is a thriving center that serves youths ages six to 19 in the Rampart district with programs in academics, the arts and athletics. Its mission is to provide underprivileged youth with essential opportunities in a nurturing environment, empowering them to develop their potential, pursue their education and strengthen their communities.
