Elkins Auditorium
Monday, March 24, 2014, 8 – 9:30pm
So much of the conversation between the gay and Christian communities has become tense, angry, and unhelpful in addressing the real spiritual needs of people on both sides. How can we show more love to one another without compromising our theological convictions on sexual morality? Is it possible to love someone without agreeing with them? What would that look like on this issue? This two-night event is designed to explore the questions, and the disagreement, within a loving, Biblical framework that puts Christ first and foremost.
Two unique presentations will be co-led by Ron Belgau and Justin Lee, two Christians with differing views on the issue but a shared commitment to Christ, the Bible, and the need for compassion.
Overflow seating will be provided in PLC 125 on both Monday and Tuesday evening. Seating is limited. Staff, faculty, alumni, and graduate students will receive reserved seating in Elkins by registering here by 5 p.m. on Friday, Mar. 21. All guests who do not meet the registration deadline may wait in line with Seaver undergraduates, all of whom will be seated on a first-come, first-served basis as space allows. For a full description of the event, please visit the Office of the Chaplain web site.
NOTE: THIS EVENT IS 90 MINUTES LONG
All Convo events are subject to last-minute changes and/or cancellation.
