Speaker: Charley Moore, Charley Moore is the Founder and CEO of Rocket Lawyer Incorporated. His experience as an attorney representing startups exposed him to both the high cost and high value of great legal advice. So, he started Rocket Lawyer to deliver high-value legal services at a price nearly everyone can afford. Today, Rocket Lawyer is one of the most widely used legal services in the world, with operations in the United States and the United Kingdom., Charley has been engaged in Internet law and business since beginning his career as an attorney at Venture Law Group in Menlo Park, California. He represented Yahoo! (IPO), WebTV Networks (acquired by Microsoft) and Cerent Corporation (acquired by Cisco Systems) at critical early stages and was the founder of Onstation Corporation (acquired by The Cobalt Group)., Charley graduated from the United States Naval Academy (BS) and the University of California at Berkeley (Juris Doctorate). He served in the U.S. Navy, was an officer on the USNS Mercy, and is a Gulf War veteran. Charley currently serves as Chairman of the board of directors of Rocket Lawyer and on the executive board of Tech for America (T4A)., Deryck J. van Rensburg, Deryck J. van Rensburg is the ninth dean of the Graziadio Business School, having joined Pepperdine University in 2016. He brings 32 years of global business experience with The Coca-Cola Company and Unilever PLC. Recently at Coca-Cola, he was President of Global Ventures reporting to their Chairman and CEO. He was also President of Venturing and Emerging Brands responsible for identifying and developing businesses with $1 billion potential via entrepreneurial partnering, corporate venture capital investment, intrapreneurial incubation, and acquisition., His work has been featured as part of the 2009 CNBC original documentary titled, "Coca-Cola: The Real Story Behind the Real Thing". In 2011, he was nominated by Advertising Age magazine as one of 21 'Influencers' reshaping media and marketing, and was also nominated to the Global 100 Corporate Venturing Powerlist in 2012, 2013, and 2014. Most recently, Dean van Rensburg received the honor of being named one of the Los Angeles Business Journal's LA 500, LA's Most Influential People., Dean van Rensburg holds a DBA from the University of Manchester, an MBA with distinction from the University of Bath, and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Rhodes University., Bernice Ledbetter, EdD, Dr. Ledbetter serves as dean of students and alumni affairs for Pepperdine Graziadio, is the director for the Center for Women in Leadership, serves as practitioner faculty of organizational theory and practice, and teaches graduate-level courses in leadership. Dr. Ledbetter is the co-author of the book, Reviewing Leadership: A Christian Evaluation of Current Approaches and has authored numerous articles, including her recent feature, "Business Leadership for Peace," which appears in the International Journal of Public Leadership., Bernice is a frequent keynote speaker on advancing women in leadership to international audiences, industry groups, and large organizations, including Fortune 500. She is a recent recipient of the "2019 Trail Blazer Award" from Leadership California for her work in advancing women in leadership., Charla Griffy-Brown, PhD, Dr. Griffy-Brown has a portfolio of global business and academic experience that intersects business, executive development, and consulting. She graduated from Harvard University, is a former Fulbright Scholar, and holds a PhD in Technology Management from Griffith University in Queensland, Australia. As a tenured professor at Pepperdine University, she has trained hundreds of executives in business process redesign and enterprise architecture. A former researcher at the Foundation for Advanced Studies on International Development, Tokyo, Dr. Griffy-Brown also served as an associate professor at the Tokyo Institute of Technology., Having lived and worked extensively in the Asia-Pacific region, she brings a global perspective enabling her to engage with executives to identify and solve mission-critical problems and a design strategy. She has extensive experience working with executives and boards in information systems security and risk as an element of new technology initiatives. She worked with SAP and other multinational organizations to deploy SaaS systems to achieve sales growth and expand market share. In addition to her current work, she has been a featured speaker sponsored by the U.S. State Department in transitional economies such as Bangladesh and Bulgaria, where she has worked with government advisors and heads of state., Mark A. Tribbitt, PhD, Dr. Tribbitt is a tenured professor of strategic management at Pepperdine University. His teaching focuses on strategic management, entrepreneurship, and the management of technology and innovation. He earned a PhD in Strategic Management from Drexel University, an MBA from Villanova University, and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Delaware., Prior to pursuing a career in academia, Dr. Tribbitt spent 14 years in the financial services industry in various leadership positions. He was recently vice president of operations for JPMorgan, managing servicing and trading of a $350 billion mutual fund portfolio. He is a member of several academic associations, including the Academy of Management, and he has presented his work at multiple global academic conferences. He has also won numerous awards and accolades for his teaching.
